Dr. Karnitis received both his bachelors and medical degree at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Ohio State University.

Dr. Karnitis is currently the Reproductive Endocrinologist at SpringCreek Fertility. He has served as Reproductive Endocrinologist at Kettering Health Network and Promedica Health System/Toledo Hospital, Assistant Professor at the Department of OB/GYN at the Medical College of Ohio, and has served as the Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Toledo since 2008.

He is a member of the Ethics Committee at Kettering Hospital, was the Ethics Committee Chair/Co-Chair at Toledo Hospital, a CAP Laboratory Inspector, and the Department of OB/GYN Quality and Peer Review Chairman at Toledo Hospital.

Dr. Karnitis has been published in several medical journals including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and the Journal of Fertilization.

Dr. Karnitis has recieved the Patient's Choice Award in 2009, 2010, and 2011, as well as the Best Doctors Award first in 1996 and last in 2008. He is also the recipient of the Wilson Resident's Teaching Award.

When not seeing patients, you may find Dr. Karnitis on the tennis court or maintaining one of his many hives as an avid beekeeper. He also enjoys chess and gardening with his wife, Dr. Sue Karnitis.
